BreadBreak ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

• Account info: email address, display name, and (optionally) profile photo. If you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable user identifier and (optionally) a relay email — never your real Apple ID password.
• Reading progress: chapters you complete, XP earned, streak count, badges, and reading history. Stored so the app can resume where you left off.
• Community data you submit: prayer requests, reflections, friend invites, and church associations. You choose what to share with whom.
• Device info: a coarse city-level location (only if you grant permission) so we can show regional leaderboards. We never store precise GPS coordinates.
• Purchase records: when you subscribe to BreadBreak Pro via Apple In-App Purchase we store the transaction identifier to grant Pro and prevent duplicate credits. Payment details remain with Apple.

How we use it

• To run the app — show your progress, devotional, leaderboards, and prayer feed.
• To generate AI-powered reflections and quiz questions via our LLM provider (Anthropic). Your prompts are not used to train their models.
• To send local notifications (only if you allow them) — daily reading reminders, streak warnings, prayer responses.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
• We do not run third-party tracking SDKs.
• We do not read or share the contents of your prayer requests with anyone you didn't explicitly send them to.

Your choices

• Delete your account anytime from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
• Revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. Leaderboards will fall back to global rankings.
• Cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Children

BreadBreak is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email support@breadbreak.app and we will delete it.
